YOUR THREE-MACHINE SHORTLIST

Choose how hands-on
you want to be.

One manufacturer. Three different routines. No single winner for everyone.

BEFORE YOU CHECK OUT

Buy the routine.
Not the dream.

A machine is only part of a home espresso setup. These four checks help prevent an expensive mismatch.

01

Count the whole setup.

Add a grinder where needed, beans and cleaning supplies. Check what's included before adding accessories.

02

Measure usable space.

Leave room to refill water and beans, move the milk jug and reach the machine—not just fit the base.

03

Be honest about the work.

All three involve handling coffee and cleaning. If you want a fully automatic drink at one touch, this shortlist may not be right for you.

04

Read the retailer's terms.

Verify stock, shipping, warranty and returns for the exact model. Your order and support stay with the retailer.

A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS

Before the first cup.

Which one should I start with?

Choose the routine first: a separate grinder with help steaming milk, an integrated hands-on setup, or a guided machine. Our shortlist is a fit assessment based on manufacturer features—not proof that one produces better coffee.

Does automatic milk mean a fully automatic latte?

No. Automatic milk steaming is only one part of preparation. You still handle the portafilter and clean up. Watch the manufacturer's preparation and cleaning demonstrations before deciding.

Are these live prices?

No. Prices are a dated snapshot from the linked US manufacturer pages, not a live feed. Promotions and available versions can change. Check the retailer's current total, including tax, shipping and any additional equipment, before buying.

Have you personally tested these machines?

No. This is a research-based buying guide. We use the linked manufacturer information and explain our reasoning. We do not publish invented test scores, customer reviews or hands-on experience.

YOUR MORNING. YOUR CALL.

Pick the work you're happy to do.

Our approach

Latte Shortlist is an independent buying guide. We translate manufacturer specifications into practical choices. This first guide covers three Breville models with different preparation styles; it is not an exhaustive market comparison. Recommendations reflect our interpretation, not lab tests or manufacturer endorsement.
